Monday without rain

            Hello all,

                   Its been quite a while since I've written on here. We have been doing all sorts of things. Anything from dealing with lawnmower problems, to cleaning up our deck area of vines and debris. Our furry little critters are glad to have it not raining this week.  We went to a friends boys graduatuion over the weekend it was nice to see everyone.

 

The geenhouse that his daughter runs is really flourishing this year. They've got all kinds of landscaping jobs to do. And the shop itself is doing good this year. She and her fiance and all who work there are doing a great job. They are really making a name for theirselves.  

It will be nice to be able to do some grilling this week without getting wet in the process. We are doing hamburgers tonight and probably some tater tots. Its always nice to be able to cook outdoors. It makes for less mess, and grilled food is always a hit. And its nice to spend time outside.

We have lots of projects to do this summer. I think we will stay quite busy. The next thing I want to do out on the back deck is repaint it. That will make it look so much better and help preserve it in the process. And I don't mind painting so its a good project.  Also we want to clean up an old flower bed back there that is overgrown with vine and other things that will make it look lots nicer back there after we do that. Thats just a couple of the priojects on the choppping block but its enough to stay busy with for a little while.

Monday

Well its another Monday,what is it about this day that always makes it seem blah? We never look forward to it, and are glad when its over. This day gets the worst wrap of all. It's a cold day here in Kansas today. I think spring decided to leave for a couple days and let winter come back. At least it was a nice weekend. We visited a customer of his over the weekend that bought a race track in Missouri. It was the first shoot out race there for the year. It went really well and we had good time seeing friends and watching the action. They had one wreck but the guy wasn't hurt so that was a good deal. And actually didn't hurt the car too bad so I'm sure he will be back out sometime this season. I got to see my first top fuel car in person that was cool. You sure do feel it when they make a pass. A GOOD DOG AT REST

Hi all,
Its a somber day in my house today. Yesterday we had to put our boxer Sadie down. She was getting worse so we had to make the call. I have to say its already lonely without her. Its never an easy thing to do. But its the worst when you've had them for a lot of years. She isn't suffering though and that's the main thing. She will be greatly missed. I guess they say time heals all wounds, it just takes a while when they're deep. She was my loyal companion for a lot of years this was my turn to be loyal to her. She gave me ten good years and they will always be remembered. Saying goodbye was tough but then it always is. Well anyway here's a toast to Sadie may she rest in peace. Happy Tailwagging!!!!

Wednesday

Good day everyone,
Well our big girl is hanging on ,we're just taking it day by day with her. She has had a stroke, and couple of seizures but she's holding her own. She has a ways to go to be normal again if she ever will be but she has a will to live and as long as she has that she's got a chance. She doesn't appear to be suffering so we are giving her the best care we can. The vet told us to put her on baby aspirin to deal with the seizures so we did that. As for the stroke part only time will tell whether she will regain what she has lost or not. She circles to the left alot .P.artly because of focusing problems with her eyes. And also partly because of the brain activity or lack there of that stroke victims deal with. She also hasn't wagged her nubbin since this happened, and she hasn't barked. Its really kind of weird but hopefully she will come out of some of this and be the dog that we love to play with again. Have a good day all!! Happy Tailwagging!!!

Our Furry Companions

Hi all,
Sorry its been a while life just hasn't been all that exciting. But now our boxer Sadie is having some problems. And we're not totally sure whats going on with her so I'm concerned. You know you never realize how much they affect your life until you don't know what to do for them. They are always there for you. And when they get at that age when they have health issues. It is tough knowing that theres going to be that day when you have to tell them goodbye. I hope that day is later than sooner but you just never know. To all you animal lovers out there love them as much as you can while you can. Happy Tailwagging !!!!

Good afternoon,
Its a lovely day outside here today. Its a nice change to see sunshine and have it be halfway warm. We have a busy weekend planned. Tomorrow we are going to Wichita to the swap meet at the coliseum. Saturday night we have a party to go to in Oklahoma for his car organization. I think both will be a nice time. I started a new Lisa Jackson novel yesterday. I haven't gotten to far in it yet, but so far its pretty good. So far Sadie hasn't had anymore seizures which is good. We have been working on the firewall in the car, trying to get it smoothed out for when it gets painted. I got in the baking mood today. So I made some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Cookies always seem to be a big hit in this house. They always dissapear quickly which is good that way I don't eat to many. Have a good evening all and Happy Tailwagging!!!!

Saturday

Hi all,
Sorry its been a while, just been kind of quiet around here. Yesterday my boxer Sadie gave us a scare. She had a seizure yesterday, I guess another sign of old age. I called the vet and they just said to monitor her. Hopefully she won't have anymore but I guess we'll see. As far as life otherwise, we got the heads off the motor and sent them off yesterday. Last weekend we took some of the pieces over to the bodyman in Joplin for him to get started on. Other than that its been pretty quiet around here. Happy Tailwagging!!!!!

Good day everyone,
It has been a little while since I have written. Well we started working on getting the motor out of the car to get it ready for body work. I helped him take of some parts yesterday. We will probably hit it again tonight. Its a different experience getting to help him do these things. I am enjoying getting to have a hand in all this. Its nice to have a guy that wants to teach you these things and has the patience instead of telling you to get out of the garage. I had a busy morning this morning. I went to curves, came home,gave two dogs a bath, then myself . And have been doing some laundry in between. Its been a fairly quiet day here today. Not much to report today Happy Tailwagging!!!!

Good afternoon,
It's a fine Monday afternoon here in Kansas. It's sunny and relatively warm for January. I went to curves and worked out this morning. they had gotten two new machines to work out on. One was a leg machine and the other a machine for working your obliques. Nothing to radical but a change at any rate. The weekend was good, we worked on the car and watched some movies. If you like a good murder mystery Righteous Kill is good. We also watched Ghost Town which was pretty funny. Other than that it was a pretty quiet weekend around here. Good morning everyone,
It's Friday once again, anyone got big plans for the weekend?I don't think we do,we will probably work on the race car some. But other than that probably won't do to much. I was reading the blog Underwatertimes.com. They are going to dissect a Great White shark. And they are going to stream it live on the net. It will be on February 8th 11 am to 1pm. I have a fascination for ocean life, particularly sharks so I was excited. Its awesome when they do something, that they haven't something they haven't done before. This could teach alot about this marine species. Well things have been pretty quiet this week. I spent some of it reading a Lisa Jackson novel. I read Cold Blooded, it was a good murder mystery with a little romance. So far I am liking going to curves a few mornings a week. I haven't decided if I want to join yet or not but its been fun so far. My boyfriend now has a blog. If anyone is interested in race cars. And how to do different things to them. Good day everyone,
I hope everyone had a good New Years. We had a good one, we went out to dinner with some people and then went to a dance. Yesterday as I mentioned in a previous post was our one year anniversary of being together. We went out of town for the day, did a little shopping,visited some friends and went and had a nice dinner. We had a really nice time. It was good to be away and just have us time for a little while without alot of interruptions. The girls are laying around being lazy today, I think they are glad to have a normal day where we are at home and not gone for hours at a time. I went and did a workout at Curves this morning. I was tired when I got done. I could tell I did some good, but also that I hadn't done it for a couple days. But now at least for a little while I can have a normal routine. Well not much else to report today so Happy Tailwagging to you all!!!!!
