Tuesday

Well its a fine Tuesday afternoon, and all is quiet around the house today. Tomorrow night is New Years eve, hope you all have a good and safe one. I'm not sure what we are doing yet but it will be nice at any rate. I went to Curves and tried out my free month to exercise this morning. I got a pretty good wokout and had a nice time. There's not alot of people there early in the morning which is nice. New Years day he and I celebrate one year together. It has gone by so fast. It doesn't seem possible its been that long already. Everything between us has gone so smoothly. It always helps a relationship alot when there's not fighting and disagreements going on. We have blended very well together and I for one am very impressed with us. With all the fighting couples and anger that you see with some people. Day After Christmas

Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Ours went really well, being our first one together it was special. We had a nice time at my parents. We went out to eat and then came home and did gifts. It was a nice time. My two four legged kids went with us. They had a good time. The grandparents gave them new toys to pay with. They always like it when that happens. yesterday we got up and did our Chirstmas with each other. I liked watching him open his presents and being surprised. Later on we went to his parents to have dinner and do Chirstmas gifts. His mom had quite the feast,I ate way too much. With it being my first Christmas with his family I was a little nervous but I mellowed out after a while. It was a comfortable laid back kind of day. He and I will celebrate one year together on New years day. I am looking forward to that. It doesn't seem like it has been that long already. But as they say time flies when your having fun. I put a bow in Tracy's hair for Christmas but she kept on trying to get it out so I never got a picture but it was cute while it lasted. I hope you all have a good New Years be safe and have fun!!!! Good evening to you all,
Well its the day before Christmas eve. I finally got the rest of my shopping done today so I'm all ready now. I hope all of you have good holidays and a happy new year as well. We will split the holidays between his family and mine. Tomorrow night will be with my family. It's really kind of exciting with it being our first year together and all. At first I had a hard time getting into the spirit of things. But I finally eventually got in the mood and got excited about things. Hope everyone has good times with family and friends !!!

Well the holidays are almost here. Its coming down to the wire for shopping and all that good stuff. My boyfriend is going to do his last minute stuff today. I think this will be an interesting holiday. Life has sure changed in the last year. If you had told me at this time last year, that I would be living two hours away from everyone I know. I would have thought you were nuts. Lots of things happened that I never expected over the course of this year. Its been a good year and I hope the next to be just as good or better. Its been a year of getting to know each other for him and I. We've done very well together.I didn't really know what would happen when we moved in together. But we get along really well and its been good between us. I couldn't have asked for any better. He's been there for me alot and I love him dearly for that. Monday Blues

Good afternoon,
It's that day of the week, the one most of us say is it here already. It is incredidbly cold outside today. I guess winter really decide to make its presence. We spent the weekend watching movies and staying warm. And yesterday I made some cookies just for fun. There is a cookie monster in my house. So I'm sure it won't take them long to disappear. He enjoys my cooking, and thats what counts. So I will let him haave all he wants. It's always nice to be appreciated for doing things. Other than some stocking stuffers I am all done with shopping. It's nice to have that out of the way. Hard to believe it's just days away now. I have to get the girls all bathed this week so they are ready for Christmas. Well not much to report other than that. Just Another Day In Paradise

Goodmorning,
Well it's hump day as they say and a cold one at that. We had about an inch or so of snow last night. I'm ready for winter to hurry up and get out of here. I'm just not a fan of the cold. The girls come in pretty quickly when it's like this outside. They don't care for the frostiness either. I still need to do a bit of shopping but I'm getting close to done. I'm finally getting that Christmas spirit in me. I'm looking forward to this holiday this year unlike last. I think it will be a nice change and alot of fun. We put up our Christmas present to each other the other night. We went out and bought a new fancy ceiling fan to put in our freshly redone bedroom. It looks really good and it's nice and quiet, which is what we were going for. Well I don't have much other news today so Happy Tailwagging to you!!!!!

Good morning on this fine Sunday,
We got some of our shopping done yesterday, that was fun to get away from our little town for a bit. We went into Joplin Missouri to do some of our shopping. We had a nice day and got some things done. It's hard to believe that the Holiday is almost here this year went so fast. It's been a good year though, and hopefully the next one will be just as good if not better!!! Things went well with moving in together and getting use to a new place,and surroundings,and new people. It went better than I could have hoped so I'm glad we made the move to be together. It's always risky to jump out on a limb. But for once, that risk was one I was happy to take. We went and got an ornament to symbolize our first Christmas together at a Hallmark store yesterday. I thought that was a nice little touch. Well have a good day and Happy Tailwagging to you!!!!

Midweek

Well its Wednesday the middle of the week. Hope everyon e is having a good week.
Things are pretty quiet around here which is always nice. Last night we got our Christmas cards done and ready to mail. It's always nice to egt that sort of thing out of the way. Hopefully this weekend we can get some more Christmas shopping done. I went and did a little shopping done Monday for my boyfriend and for the person whose name I got in his family. It's kind of neat I get to start new traditions and learn a few of theirs this Christmas. I got thecutest little bows to put in Tracy my little Yorkie's hair. She's going to look really cute even though she doesn't like having her hair done. She will prance around once I'm finished and go look at me I'm pretty. She has quite the personality and she's a bit arnery too but she's adorable and you can't help but love her. Have a good day and Happy Tailwagging!!!!!

Another Monday

Goodmorning all,
Well its another Monday morning, and it is a cold one here. We got a dusting of snow just enough to see traces. We got the christmas tree all decorated and the house decorated. It looks pretty good if I do say so myself. We had to go and get new lights for the tree. So we went and got some of those new led lights. They are incredibly bright and really pretty. At any rate we are all festive now. It's nice to get that much out of the way. We got each of the girls a toy for Christmas already. I can't wait to see their reaction. My boyfriends daughter just called and she had to put her horse down. It always sucks to have to put down animals that are near and dear to us. Hello everyone,
I Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Ours was real nice,we went to my parents and had a nice dinner. After that we stopped in at a friend of mine's house and talked with her for a while. All in all a very pleasant day. And so now its the weekend, we are going to put up the Christmas tree tonight and do the decorating thing. Hopefully it will get me more in the mood for this holiday. I've been a little bah humbugish. I'm getting better though, so this should help. This should be a good holiday this year and hopefully fun. Its our first together so its kind of a special one. Changes from The Weekend

Well its a fine Tuesday afternoon, and all is well in this household for the time being. The dogs are clean, the laundry is clean, and over the weekend I got a new haircolor. I decided I would go back to my natural brunette color. This was a big shock for me because I have been blonde for a number of years. I'm starting to adjust but it still looks very strange to me. My boyfriend doesn't seem to mind too much. I wasn't sure how he would react, once it was all said and done. But he seems to like it so all is good. Well just one more day till Thanksgiving, is everybody ready for that or are you last minute procrastinators? I have it easy,all I have to do is make a jello salad tomorrow and I'm ready. We are going to my parents house so I don't have to do much. It should be a nice time,we are also going to stop and see a friend of mine so it should be a nice day. Weekend Time Once Again

Well its Friday once again,
Hope you all have had a good week. I'm ready for the weekend to be here.I'm going to take a day trip tomorrow back to my neck of the woods. Its always nice to see home once in a while. The girls have been frisky and playful this week. Its funny how they get in different moods. One day they're bouncy and playful, and the next they just want to lay in a corner and sleep. Its hard to believe that Thanksgiving is here already. This year went by really fast, I can't believe the year will be changing soon. But considering what things happened last year, this one has been really good. So even though it went by a little quicker than I would have liked at least good things have come out of it. Last Bit Of Racing Before Winter

Well its another weekend passed and another Monday started. We took out the car this weekend just to test a little. We went to Tulsa Ok, and it was a gorgeous day for it. We Didn't get exactly what we wanted out of it. But we learned some things to work on for next season. There was a guy there that races in our series. He had his boxer with him that was young. I had to pay her some attention she was a cutie. She was just a year old and she was full of energy. I was remembering Sadie at that age, and how full of it she was. Its funny how fast they grow up before your eyes. The girls as always were glad to see us come home and greet us with kisses. Thats on thing nice about dogs they are always happy to see you no matter how long your gone. Well Good Day,and Happy Tailwagging!!!!!

Weeks Fly By

Good morning,
Its a bright sunshiny Thursday, and its off to a nice start. I tell ya the weeks just seem to fly by fast. It seems like you no sooner get the week started and its the weekend. Its amazing how time just seems to go by quickly. I went for a walk this morning, just to get out and enjoy the sun and get some exercise. The girls are in sleepy mode this morning. They are all laying around cat napping. For a while before I moved in with my boyfriend. It seemed like days would just drag on and on. And sometimes it seemed as though time stood still. It's really funny how being with someone makes life go by faster. If you are truly into that person, and in sync with them mind,body,and soul. It seems like life is just much richer, and more vibrant than being alone. I am quite thankful for that, it's the best thing that could have happened to me. Its hard to believe that Thanksgiving is almost here. It doesn't seem possible, that another year will soon be ended, and another beginning. This will be a whole new beginning for me. New people to spend the Holidays with and all. Starting over can be a difficult thing for some people. I have had some days that were better than others. But all in all, it has been better than I could have ever asked for. And so the Holidays, should be another good start to our future together. Happy Tailwagging and Good Day!!!!!!!!

Weekend With Family

Well its that dreaded day of the week again. The one we always think can I just have one more day. Hope you all had good weekends. I had a nice time, I had some family here from out of state, so we went visiting. We had a nice time, it was good to see everyone. And for everyone to meet the new love of my life. They had not met him yet so it was time. A couple of them were getting ready, to go galavanting around the country in their new camper. I thought that sounded like fun. Especially since they were headed somewhere warmer than here. Its a rainy dreary day here today. Its funny, how rainy days just seem to make you want to just lay around, and not do much. Good afternoon,
Well its another day in paradise, and it couldn't be better. The weather has turned cool here in Kansas. We had a rainstorm last night so the temperature changed dramatically. We had dinner at his parents house Tuesday night celebrating their anniversary and his dads birthday. It was a nice time. It's always nice to see people still in love, after so many years of marriage. Especially since today its often hard to come by. When you see a long lived marriage such as theirs. It makes you appreciate the one your with. It makes you realize that theres more to life. And that we take a lot for granted sometimes. Love who your with whether its a boyfriend,husband,girlfriend,or wife. Show them you love them, and don't take your life together for granted. You never know what can happen from day to day. weekend race

Good evening,
Well we had the race Saturday which could have went better. But could have been worse. We got one round, and got knocked out the second. We were having an issue with the car. But all in all it was a good day. Just hanging out with friends and seeing some good races. And when you can put the car in the trailer. And its under its own power, and haven't hurt anything its all good!!! The four leggeds were glad to see us when we got home. I gave them all three treats that morning before we left. And I gave Sadie some extras since it was her birthday. So they were pretty happy for the day. Today's just kind of been one those ho hum days. I guess just your average Monday. Happy Tailwagging!!! Its Friday

Hello everyone,
Once again its the end of the week. The days seem to fly by so fast anymore. Its a nice day outside here today. Its suppose to be a nice day tomorrow too. I hope it is for our race tomorrow. We pack up tonight and leave in the morning. I hope it will be a good day for us. I'd like to see him kick some butt!!! My poor four leggeds have to stay home. They won't be happy about that. My boxer turns 10 years old tomorrow. Its hard to believe I've had her that long. Time flys over the years, some days it seems so more than others. Heres a hypothetical question,my boyfriend and I were talking about this the other day. If you had a time machine and could go back in time. What period of your life would you want to go back to? Quiet day gone by

Yesterday was a quiet day of thinking for me. I was dealing with a year passing of a love passed on. I think my four legged kids knew it to. What is it about anniversaries of people dying that just make it so hard to concentrate on much of anything else. It was kind of a sucky day. I had been dreading the day coming this whole month. The four legged kids were a comfort though. And my boyfriend was very understanding as well. It always helps when your surrounded by people and animals that care about you. It gets you through these things a little easier. Its a brighter day today though and I'm glad the day has passed. Its kind of a day of self renewal and looking on to the future that I have now. Sunny day

Good afternoon,
Its a nice sunny day here today. Its a little breezy but other than that its real nice. The girlsare enjoying it when we take them out to do their duties. Tracy had to chase a squirrel a little while ago. She just isn't quick enough to catch up with them though. We took them for a short walk yesterday, they all enjoyed that. Today's been kind of a lazy day, we've just been mostly hanging out in the garage getting the race car ready for next weekend out last race of the year. hopefully it will be a better one for us than the last one. Sadie will be disappointed,the race is on her Birthday and they can't go with us of course. So we'll just have to pay her some attention when we get home. Happy tailwagging

Rainy Day

Good day everyone,

Its been a cold rainy day here today. Its a good day to curl up on the couch with coco and a movie. I haven't done that but it sounds good. I think the girls would go for that too. Its funny but they get really playful in this kind of weather. They are excitable and hyper today. At least two of them have been playing with toys and romping around the house today. On the other hand to me its kind of a sleepy sort of day. Something about rainy weather just makes you want to curl up under a blanket and be comfy. The weather is suppose to be cool all this week. For once I think the weather men hit the nail on the head unfortunately. I'm not looking forward to winter, its not my kind of weather. Happy tailwagging!!

Some Thoughts For The Day

Good day everyone,
Been a few days dince I last made a post. Dharma and I went for a nice walk this morning. Its amazing what good that does for you and for the animal. Its a nice time just to have your thoughts going, and have a little down time. Some days you just need to smell the fresh air for a while. It gives you a better perspective on life. As for the dog, she got exercise and got to smell everything I couldn't. Of course in a lot of cases thats okay. Cause I'm sure some of it I wouldn't have wanted to. I think the other two were a little jealous, that they didn't get to go.
But they got to go a few days ago,so it was only fair that Dharma got to go for one. I do my best thinking when I go for walks. It lets me clear my head and maybe come up with ideas sometimes. Happy tailwagging !!!!

Change Of Weather

Good morning,
It has decided to get cool on us here in Kansas. The girls and us think that doesn't need to be. The girls aren't real fond of cold weather. They tend to want to stay inside more. One thing about it though. It doesn't take them long, to go out and do their duties when it gets to be cold. They tend to hurry up a little more. Which is good when we we're standing out freezing our butts off. I kind of wish we could just skip this time of year and go back to spring. But I guess we'll all just have to put up with it for a few months. Some animals don't mind cold weather, but these three just don't care for it. The Dogs And Our Guest

Good Day,
Hope you all had a lovely weekend. Well the dogs still don't know about our guest. They bark at anything he does in the house. However he was playing with Tracy, and Sadie this morning so maybe thats a plus. I think they're just not totally trusting of him. My boxer in particular keeps a close eye on him. Its bath time this week for two of them again thats always fun. They don't think so but its got to be done. And they know it ,so they'll put up with it. Its funny they really do act just like kids sometimes. I think they are more like us than a lot of people think they are. Happy tailwagging!

Dogs Instincts About people

Good morning,
Its very interesting how dogs look at new people, in their lives and in their homes. Even if their owners don't mind someone. Sometimes they just don't seem to care for them. You sometimes wish you could have their senses. Or at least be able to communicate with them, to know what is going on in their head. We have a temporary guest for a while. And the dogs are not getting use to him very well. And other than just let things take their course. I don't know what to do accept tell them not to growl and bark at him. I really wish sometimes that they could talk. But then again we might not like what they had to say. One thing about them ,they definitely make it known right away, when they don't care for someone. A Playful Tracy

Good morning,


Its a beautiful day here in Kansas this morning. Tracy was in a playful mood this morning so I thought I would capture it. She has a lot of toys but this rope and the little stuffed kangaroo are two of her favorites. She is fun to play with, you try to take her toy away and she'll growl and then she will run away with it. Theres one shot in here that pretty much says this is my toy. She also likes to play with your hand if you run it acroos the floor after her. She likes to run around with her little toys too. But she's hard to capture doing that so this will have to do. she is a fun little girl and she gives us lots of laughs. She has a mischevious side too but she's a pretty good little girl for the most part. For a terrrier she's actually about the calmest one I've ever seen. Happy tailwagging and good day!

Garage Dogs

Our three girls love to hang out in the garage with us. When we are out working on the race car. They like to be out there hanging with us. It doesn't seem to matter what your doing. As long as they can be by your side, or at least in close proximity. They each find their own little spots to lay. There's a couple blankets and some pieces of carpet. They find one of those and just kick back and watch us. Of course they have to have some occasional attention. But they do love just to kick back and watch the work go on. I guess you could call them our spare grease monkeys. They all keep a good eye on us. They don't like you out of their sight for long. Their sensers are always on and are always alert to what is going on. Happy tail wagging and good day!

Excited dogs

Hello,
Well its Monday again,its amazing how fast that comes around. I often wonder how dogs think of time. I suppose mostly, its they know when they get fed, and when they get to go outside. I know one thing, when you leave them for long periods of time. They are sure excited to see you. We were in Tulsa Oklahoma for a race this weekend. The girls had to stay home. The minute we got home they were just ecstatic. They had to sniff us, love on us, and just have all kinds of attention. Thats one thing about dogs, they are always glad to see you. And all they really want is affection. You always have to wonder though. If they could talk, what they would have to say about us. Of course we might not want to hear some of it. But it could be interesting at times. You can see alot of things in their expressions. But I guess we'll never really know what they think of us. The girls are being lazy but they bid you good day!

Dharma's favorite past time

All dogs have their funny things they like to do. Our cocker spaniel Dharma loves to help you pull weeds. You tell her to come help you, and she will trot right on over. She will grab a hold of whatever your pulling up, and help you get rid of it. She will take it from you and go lay down and chew on it. I had never seen a dog do this before but she is quite the little helper. Pulling weeds is one of her favorite past times. I think she would do this all day, if you had enough for her to pull on and play with. All dogs have unique personalities. And this one definitley is full of personality. A dog pulling weeds was a new one on me but she's fun to watch. She can make quite the ham of herself some days. Have a good day !

Under The Weather Dog

Hello,
We have a boxer with a cold. She's a bit under the weather. I sure wish that dogs could blow their noses like humans. She has the mucus thing going on and she can't do much about it. You know, they are so much like humans in some respects. You can always tell when they don't feel well. You can read it, in their expressions and in their eyes. Hopefully she'll feel better in a few days. I read something the other day, that I did not know. Dogs actually produce their own vitamin c and d. I found this very interesting. Its funny that they can but we can't. This is a short one today have a good day.

Dogs and Baths

Hello everyone,
Its Friday once again and its a beautiful day outside. This week has been bath week for all of our girls. It's amazing how different of personalities they have, when it comes to being bathed. For example, our yorkie Tracy absoluteley hates to get wet. Bath time for her is not her favorite time. Its very funny when she gets all soapy she looks like a drenched rat. On the other end of that. When she gets all dried and brushed out. She just prances around like she's a little queen. Secretly, to a point she likes the bath but would never admitt it. Our boxer Sadie doesn't mind getting a bath. She will just stand in the bath tub, and let you get her all clean. Afterwards she will rub her head on the floor a little then she's good to go. Now Dharma, our cocker spaniel she is a different story. She doesn't mind the bath too much, once she's in the tub. But when you first mention the word bath ,she will run and hide. After she has a bath, she runs around like crazy, and rubs on everything she's quite the character. They all have very unique personalities. They always keep you on your toes and waitng for what they will do next. Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Sadie at play

Its a lovely day today, and Sadie's in the mood to play. This spider is one of her favorite toys. She loves to throw it around and shake it. She really loves for you to pull on it while she's shaking it. She has put the poor spider through

the ringer. He has some holes in him, but she keeps right on playing with him. I guess you could call him well broke in. He use to have a huge squeaker in his center but she completeley wore it out. Its fun to watch her throw him up in the air, she just has a ball with him. When

she's tired from playing, then she

has to guard him. She's a lot of fun to watch play. She wore herself out I think, so its probably time for a nap soon.

Dog behaviors

Have you ever noticed, when you get more than one dog in a household.They tend to find more things to bark at. They have a chain reaction going. If one doesn't hear someting, one of the others do, and then they all go off. Soemtimes its funny but sometimes its annoying. They have a competition about it. They have to see who can bark the loudest and the longest. What's weird is when they bark at noises from within the house.When someone opens the pantry door, or the opening of the bedroom door. Some days I wonder about these three.You can't help but love them though, so you just find ways to deal with it. For some reason, they are hyper sensitive to noises .Whether its something they should be barking at or not. Most of the time, they are pretty well behaved. They have their days though, that anything will set them off barking.

Good evening,
Just another drizzly evening outside Dharma wishes this weather would leave as much as we do. This is our little mother hen. She likes to think she is the boss of the house. She's very sweet and loves to give you hugs. Her form of play is rather funny. She likes to take her toys,roll around on top of them, and growl at them. I had never seen a dog do this before but its cute. She has a number of knicknames, we call her eeyore when she's slow about coming inside. She walks at a snales pace some days. All in all she is a sweet dog and she is well loved. She hasn't got into the other two dogs way of playing but at least they've been getting along
so we won't push the issue. Maybe someday she will learn
other forms of play but for now we will just let her do what she does best.

Good day everyone,
Its another rainy day in paradise says Sadie my boxer. She is my most playful one in this bunch. She loves to play tug of war. She also just likes to take her toys and shake them. She can be quite the riot some days. She is a happy dog and very loving. Any of you have boxers you know they love to give big wet sloppy kisses. She's very good at that. She's been with me a long time. She has seen me through the best and worst of times. Dogs are the best at knowing when your having a bad day and need some cheering up. Sadie loves to run ,although she doesn't run as fast as when she was younger she still has fun. Have a wonderful weekend with lots of play and grass sniffing.

Good afternoon,
Its a rainy day here in Kansas, Tracy my Yorkie hates rainy days. She is very finicky about getting wet. She doesn't like to go out and do her duties very good when its wet outside. She takes some prodding. She always walks very gingerly like through the wet grass. The other two don't seem to mind it. I guess she just thinks she's a little princess and doesn't think she should have to get all wet. But eventually she takes the hint and does what she is suppose to. Have you ever noticed how dogs can be very active and excitable in this weather. Sometimes they just want to play and play. Although today the three in this house are kind of doing the sleepy day thing.

Our three dogs

Hello,
A few months back I moved in with boyfriend and his cocker spaniel. I myself have two dogs that came with me as well. It has been an interesting transition for the three of them. My boyfriends cocker spaniel had never lived with any other dogs so she has had a lot of adjusting to do. The boxer and the yorkie have done reasonably well with the move. It took some time for them to get use to different surroundings and people but for the most part they took it okay. My boxer did have one physical battle shortly after she moved in. She wound up getting a case of alopecia ( hair loss in dogs). It can be caused by a number of things, but I believe hers was due to stress. We had to give her melatonin a sleep aide for humans. Sounds funny but in dogs it can regrow hair that is lost. It worked and she looks normal again, but it took about two months before she got it all back. My little yorkie got use to things pretty quick. She warmed right up to my boyfriend. She lays by him in the office just quiet as can be. She has become his little shadow she follows him everywhere. My boxer and his cocker have fought a little, but for the most part have tollerated each other. They both want to be boss of the house some days ,(the alpha female thing) so occasionally we have had to intervene. But for the most part its been good. The biggest problem we have had, is his cocker spaniel doesn't understand what play is. When my boxer and the yorkie get to playing she acts like mother hen. She goes over to them barking, like she's trying to get them to stop. As a result we have knicknamed her Henrietta. This is a nice place to stop for the day enjoy!!!
